About HockeyPup
Spending numerous hours at the arena, HockeyPup co-founder, Kevin Fitzpatrick became witness to hours and hours of empty ice or players attending pick up games with three or four players and no goalies. At the same time the Bluewater Sport Hockey League grew to a thousand plus players annually, many requesting additional ice time to play some pick up hockey to hone their skills.
After a few years of growing pains, HockeyPup.ca was introduced to co-ordinate an on-line call and sign-up list for players. This on-line presence is the first step to an organized effort to keep the fun of hockey up front and provide good communications to those players who want to play the game.
HockeyPup co-ordinates good attendance at pickup hockey games in the Sarnia - Lambton area and provides a good mix of players and goalies at each session. At the moment we just cover the following arenas but will be expanding to other rinks in the near future:
- SSEC
- Germain
- Clearwater
- Mooretown
HockeyPup is for all players ages 19 years and older unless specified. Game types can include Co-ed games, mother/daughter/granddaughter games, father/son/grandson games, slapshot games, youngtimers and oldtimers games.
